Hungarian Countryside Street Water Tap - 3D model

I live in the Hungarian countryside, where public water taps can still be found along smaller streets. Many of them are in pretty rough shape today, worn down by decades of use and weather. This never scared us as kids. On hot summer days, we would drink from these taps with the help of a friend, trying to quench our thirst as best we could. A simple, reliable companion during long afternoons spent outside.
I’m sharing this piece with a strong sense of nostalgia, hoping it might spark familiar memories for others as well.

The asset was fully created by me. The model was built in Blender, with textures baked from a high-poly version and finished in Substance Painter. Some of the renders below were made in Blender using Cycles. The remaining shots were rendered in Unreal Engine, set up with the Sequencer and lit using Lumen.
Most reference photos were taken by me in my local area. For additional details and variations, I also used online references of similar roadside water taps.

All of the surrounding assets of the forest are from FAB, Quixel Megascans.
